The Jetsons was a cartoon that was set in 2062 but made in 1962. The show predicted a number of futuristic electronics, such as flat screen TV’s, smart watches, video calls, digital newspapers and automatic vacuum cleaners. Did they get it right? They lived in a middle layer between earth and space. And used aContinue reading “Innovation”

Kids today…!
Covid has made headphones an office necessity but while my generation were about making things smaller. Today’s youth want bigger more ridiculous looking headphones. Our headphones became inner ear pieces, our phones turned from bricks to small tablets. Perhaps it’s a need to look cool on zoom, or to listen to swearing in a gameContinue reading “Kids today…!”
Geometric
This was a prompt for from the Reading art club on instagram. I’m getting excited by abstract art, but I feel I haven’t quite pulled this one off. That said, I found the geometric art quite difficult to look at and that is very evident in this piece!

I heard a story about a man on a train, who would deliberately sit opposite people with the same crossword. As the journey progressed he would laugh and make comments onContinue reading “Crossword-o-saurus”
Of Granny knots
It doesn’t mater what sort of cable I have they always ends up in knots. When we went camping recently I laid out the cable carefully from the electric point to the tent. There were no kinks, no coils of cable, just a lovely straight line. As we packed up and I collected the cableContinue reading “Of Granny knots”
I am not a muscled God!
A post inspired by a collage prompt – Strong. I did try to do strength training, muscle building with weights at home. This was before Kaftrio – the magic Cystic Fibrosis medication. It’s hard work lifting and lowering weights for most people but when you are low on oxygen it’s even more challenging. Before KaftrioContinue reading “I am not a muscled God!”
