I recently took some online courses to prepare a post about my learning experiences. In doing so I found a new outlet for my art – Comic books! I tell a lot of stories on my hospital radio show and I’ve always wanted to share these with a wider audience. The course from Domestika gaveContinue reading “Something Different!”

This is a post about my recent painting – To Market – A collage using ink and limited palette of sugar paper and gouache.
Pandemic Success
During the Lockdown in June 2021, I was asked by Painters-online website to produce some videos. They are now online and you can see the results of 2 days worth of video production! Click on the image below to see the video.
My sketchbook process, translating my sketches to a finished painting
In this video I develop my urban sketches into watercolour thumbnails images to help evaluate colour and composition working on 4 images at once! This is a page from my sketch book illustrating the trees I see on my lunch time walk. I’ve used procreate to create colourful background toContinue reading “Trees in the landscape”
Nature is Everywhere – The January Challenge

These beautiful areas are hidden at the backs of undeveloped land between the various housing estates. I chose a wet day to go out to explore with myContinue reading “Nature is Everywhere – The January Challenge“
Kitchen Stories – January Challenge
Food processorWhen we moved into our house I was brought a food processor, which lived in its packaging for years. I struggled to make cakes the traditional way, hand beating eggs, creaming fats and sugars…until one day when we were clearing out our cupboards, the food processor came out of its packaging. During lockdown theContinue reading “Kitchen Stories – January Challenge”
