Ode to the Mince Pie
It’s the seasonal festive treat,
Which none of my family likes to eat!
The silver tin foil all shiny and crinkled,
A crust edge all brown and wrinkled,
Cut through the pie – it’s contents all juicy and golden,
Smoother in cream and custard all molten,
The smells of Christmas season,
Eating grand there is no better reason!
